Amelia Talks: July 2015

So I am throwing a blog post in on a Tuesday, but I thought as I am starting to panic about my future I thought I'd make a little post about the future or some advice to try and calm yourself down. I will point out, I don't think I suffer with anxiety but I do tend to worry and panic when it comes to thinking what I want to do in the future and considering I have 1 more year left at college then I have a big choice of what I do in the future and that's the big worry I have. So here is a little advice to try and help others who will come to have the same problem.

If you are having trouble deciding what you want to do, don't think you are the only one. There is no doubt that you'll have someone else out there who is the same.
Don't think you have one choice and one chance to make a decision as you would have found out you change your mind so quickly.
Don't think you can avoid thinking of the future, because the more you try to avoid it the worse your worries get. REMEMBER you are going to grow up, you are going to have to make decisions, you are going to make mistakes, you are going to have to figure out what you want to do.
Don't think that you make one choice after finishing college or school that you are stuck with it for the rest of your life, it might start off thinking that way, but here's the deal, I always wanted to go to Drama College after college next year but now I want to go into a full time job of IT or Computing. That doesn't mean I have ruled out Drama College or Acting or Performing at all, I am just putting in my back pocket and maybe I'll revisit that idea in the near future. A lot of people have had one choice and stuck with it for a long while and then decided to change their mind and now want to do something completely different and that is completely Okay.
If you see someone else who has got a job that is in the same kind of area you want to go into but you never get it, okay yeah it is disheartening but just be supportive instead of being jealous and everything.
Don't worry about panicking about the future, because trust me, it is a good thing because it means you are serious about your future and you know it's important and it's going to happen.
Remember although you are worrying about your future, try to enjoy planning it and thinking about it because you will find a good idea of a future in the long run and if I am honest it's much better to try and look forward and enjoy the future then to be dreading it. But remember it is totally fine to be worrying, don't think their is something wrong with you just because you're worrying about.

So I kind of accidentally deleted my 50 facts about me post so I am going to redo it, I luckily have everything I wrote written down which is great for the fact that I really had trouble coming up with those 50 facts. I will also have an about me proper post tomorrow for my Monday post.

I am 19 Years old
I study computing at college and I have one year left at college.
I work in Shoe Zone
I am 5ft 5
I live in a town that one will have heard of unless you live here.
I love Rixton
I have met the lead singer of Rixton Jake Roche's Dad, Shane Richie three times.
Again I love Tori Kelly and She liked my instagram post and I went crazy in the hair dressers.
I am obsessed with How I met you Mother, it's my favourite Television show now since Glee ended.
I was obsessed and I mean obsessed with Glee.
I chose to believe I am kind of like Rachel Berry
I am already planning my dream wedding and dream house and I am not even in a relationship now.
My favourite band when I was a kid was S Club 7
I still listen to them nowadays.
Everytime I go on holiday with my best friend we meet a really fit bar man.
I am saving up to learn to drive.
I have always wanted to do youtube videos but I freak out a lot.
I don't like fizzy drinks.
I am very unhealthy
I love to sing and act and perform
I've had an operation before and stayed in a London hospital.
I love West End shows.
I want to go to New York for my 21st
I have no clue what I am planning on doing once I finish college next year.
I've signed up for X-Factor twice and never even went to the audition.
I am very fussy
I do voluntary work at a theatre.
I have a weird phobia of cracked glass.
I used to have two hamsters, one was call Frasier and the other was called Marble.
I used to play hide and seek with my hamster when he was in the hamster ball whilst my mum cleaned the cage out.
I really want a pet dog.
I always check my phone for text messages replies.
I get worried easily
I over think things.
I used to have a massive obsession with the Twilight Saga, that I covered my room in Twilight pictures.
My Idols are Sarah Jessica Parker, Lea Michele and Audrey Hepburn.
I hate horror movies.
I found the Hole scary because of the clown.
I used to think the series of unfortunate events was a scary film, I soon changed now that I am obsessed with it.
I absolutely love romantic and comedy films.
I get really blocked up when I am hot and I feel like I have a cold but I don't.
When I first meet people I come off really shy but as soon as people have got to know me, I get really crazy and fun to be around.
Banana and shrimps are my favourite sweets and I don't eat many sweets because I can't.
I hate rude people
I am against bullying and cyber bullying and any form of bullying and racism! ESPECIALLY RACISM.
I am very messy.
I have met Cheryl Ferguson who played Heather Trott in Eastenders.
I hate being late to things unless it's college (oops I don't do it on purpose, it just happens)

So a week or so ago, I had to attend my best friends 18th Birthday Party and I hate parties so it was a big thing to even go to. I even researched things but in all honesty there is no way you can prepare for something like parties if you don't really go to parties. If you want a few tips of how to deal with parties if you aren't a party person then feel free to read on.

My first tip for you would be, if you have told some one you'll be there go, I mean I know it can be a hard thing to just go and say yeah I'l go if you aren't a party person but the thing is if you say no and you do your usual thing and sit at home and do what? You'll be wondering what you're missing.
Secondly, don't feel like you have to stay for so long, most people will turn up late and then stay until early hours of the morning, but if you don't want to then simply don't. NO ONE CAN FALSE YOU TO DO ANYTHING, if you want to go early and don't want to stay till the end, then all you need to do is go.
Thirdly, most people will be drinking alcohol, and yeah it does help with confidence, I will admit to that, but if you really don't want to drink then don't drink it's not the most important thing, stick to your guns you do not have to drink if it's not something you really want to do then don't feel you need to just because everyone else is. If you are going to drink either bring a few with you or limit yourself to a few unless you want to get totally drunk.
Now I know everyone loves their phone time but the whole point that you are going to this party is to socialize, so why not take the time and put your phone away and socialize with people there and try and make a friend.
A tip that really helped me, take a friend along with you, someone you know you can trust, some one who will leave when you want to leave and doesn't moan about it. Someone who will help you talk to others so you are not standing in the corner on your own like an awkward lemon.
